Combine an ATV ride, sloths and monkeys, local sightseeing and West Bay Beach on a private Roatán adventure with Roatán Exclusive. Your approximately 4–6 hour tour includes a guided ride on an automatic ATV, a wildlife sanctuary visit and a day pass at Henry Morgan Beach Resort.

Spend approximately one hour exploring island trails by ATV, followed by around 40 minutes observing wildlife. Continue with chocolate tasting, a local market, a recycling initiative and the ROATAN sign before relaxing at West Bay. Sloths may be observed and photographed, but cannot be held or carried.

Private, air-conditioned round-trip transportation and a bilingual guide connect the day's activities with pickup and return at your cruise port or accommodation. Water and sodas are included. At Henry Morgan, enjoy beach chairs and Wi-Fi, with food, bar purchases and optional beach activities paid separately. Other visitors may be present at the attractions and beach property.

Itinerary & timing

Approximately 4–6 hours for the complete tour. The ATV ride takes about 1 hour and the wildlife visit about 40 minutes. Remaining time is shared between transfers, sightseeing and the beach, with pacing coordinated around your ship schedule or accommodation.

    Private pickup & welcome

    Meet your guide at your arranged pickup point and set off in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. Cruise passengers should follow the meeting instructions for their port.

    Guided ATV adventure

    Explore island trails and tropical scenery on an automatic ATV with your guide leading the route. Follow the ATV operator's instructions and participation requirements throughout the ride. Trail conditions vary with the weather.

  3. Approx. 40 minutes

    Wildlife sanctuary visit

    Observe sloths, monkeys and macaws while learning about their behavior and care. Sloths may be photographed but not held or carried. Other interactions depend on the animals and the sanctuary staff's guidance.

  4. Chocolate, local sights & the ROATAN sign

    Visit a chocolate factory for a tasting, browse a local market, learn about a recycling initiative and stop for photos at the ROATAN sign. Your guide shares local context along the way; personal purchases are optional.

  5. West Bay Beach & Henry Morgan day pass

    Unwind at West Bay Beach with your Henry Morgan Beach Resort day pass. Your pass includes beach chairs and Wi-Fi. The beachfront restaurant and bar are available for purchases, with food and drinks paid separately. Optional beach activities cost extra.

  6. Return

    Private transfer to your port or accommodation

    Return in your private vehicle, with departure from the beach coordinated around your ship schedule or accommodation arrangements.

Know before you go
  • Before booking, confirm the minimum driving age, whether passengers are permitted, any license requirements and the available vehicle arrangements.
  • Wear comfortable clothes suitable for an outdoor ride and closed-toe shoes. Bring swimwear, a towel and a change of clothes for the beach.
  • Bring a hat and sun protection, and secure phones, cameras, sunglasses and loose belongings before the ride and wildlife visit.
  • Sloths may be observed and photographed, but holding or carrying them is not permitted. Follow sanctuary staff instructions for all animal interactions.
  • The ATV portion is not recommended for guests with back problems. Discuss participation requirements with us before booking.
  • Tell us about any mobility or access needs before booking so we can discuss transportation and access for the ATV ride, sanctuary and beach separately.
  • Beach activities and personal purchases are optional and cost extra. Tell your guide about any additions so return timing can be planned.

Is this a private ATV tour?

Your ground transportation and guiding service are reserved for your group, including the guided ATV portion. The sanctuary, sightseeing stops and Henry Morgan property may have other visitors.

Who can drive or ride on an ATV?

Contact us before booking to confirm the minimum driving age, whether passengers are permitted, any license requirements and the available vehicle arrangements. Share the ages of everyone who would like to take part so we can discuss the requirements for your group.

Can I hold or carry a sloth?

No. You may observe and photograph sloths, but holding or carrying them is not permitted. Other animal interactions depend on the animals and the sanctuary staff's guidance.

What does the Henry Morgan day pass include?

The day pass includes access to Henry Morgan Beach Resort at West Bay Beach, beach chairs and Wi-Fi. Meals, restaurant and bar purchases, and optional beach activities are paid separately.

Are drinks included?

Water and sodas are included in the tour. Other drinks and anything you order at the resort's restaurant or bar are paid separately.

How long does the tour take?

I agree to this release of all claims, waiver of liability, and assumption of risk (“Waiver and Release”).

I waive any and all claims I may have now and in the future, and release from all liability and agree not to sue Roatán Exclusive, its agents, representatives, employees, or tour guides [hereafter referred to as “Staff”] for any personal injury, death, property damage, or loss sustained by me as a result of my participation in a private tour offered by Roatán Exclusive due to any cause whatsoever, including without limitation, negligence on the part of Roatán Exclusive, its Staff, tour partners, or other participants, or death or injury as a result of war, civil unrest, or epidemic.

I further agree that if I violate this agreement and attempt to bring suit against any parties named herein, I will be held responsible for attorney’s fees and any costs incurred by that person in defending such action.

I am aware that the tour, in addition to the usual dangers and risks inherent, has certain additional dangers and risks, some of which include physical exertion for which I may not be prepared and weather extremes subject to sudden and unexpected change.

I accept all the inherent risks of the proposed tour and the possibility of personal injury, death, or property damage or loss resulting therefrom.

I acknowledge that the enjoyment and excitement of the proposed form of tour is derived in part from the inherent risks incurred by travel and activity beyond the accepted safety of life at home or work, and these inherent risks contribute to such enjoyment and excitement, being a reason for my participation.

I agree that if I suffer injury or illness, Roatán Exclusive or its Staff can, at my cost, arrange any medical treatment and emergency evacuation service as it or they deem necessary for my health and safety.

Further, I agree at all times during the tour, to abide by and comply with any additional instructions given by my tour guide or any other Staff and I accept that non-compliance may result in injury, death, or permanent disability.

I understand that non-compliance may result in my removal from the tour.

In entering this Waiver and Release, I am not relying on any oral, written, or visual representations or statements by Roatán Exclusive or its Staff or any other inducement or coercion to go on the tour.

I confirm that, by my own free will, I have read and understood the Terms and Conditions of this private tour and Waiver and Release and agree that this Waiver and Release will be binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, and successors.

As a participant on the tour, I accept full responsibility for my behavior, well-being, and health throughout the tour, which may involve a variety of activities, unfamiliar locations, and modes of travel, including but not limited to swimming, snorkeling, diving, or walking for a longer period than I am used to.

I knowingly and willfully accept these risks and take complete and total responsibility for my behavior, well-being, and health during the tour.

I agree to hold neither Roatán Exclusive, nor its Staff nor the Roatán Exclusive Conservancy or facility liable in any way should any harm come to me.

By purchasing any tour(s), I affirm that I have fully understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions, Waiver and Release of Liability.
