Roatan Snorkeling Tour: Two Reef Stops by Private Boat
Our Roatan snorkeling tour takes your group by private boat to two planned reef sites: The Aquarium and Blue Channel. Discover coral formations, tropical fish and clear Caribbean waters with a local snorkeling crew, while leaving room for sea conditions to shape the day's route.
Your experience includes a boat and captain reserved for your party, an English- and Spanish-speaking guide, snorkeling equipment, flotation vests and refreshments on board. Private, air-conditioned transportation connects your cruise port, hotel, resort or Airbnb with the departure area.
The excursion is planned for approximately four hours, including transfers. This is a two-stop snorkeling experience, not the separate three-stop tour. Guests ages four and older may join, subject to crew guidance and suitable conditions. Wildlife encounters, water visibility and specific snorkeling locations cannot be guaranteed.
Private snorkeling itinerary & timingThe Aquarium · Blue Channel · Return transfer
Allow approximately four hours for the outing, including round-trip ground transportation. The two listed reef sites are planned stops, not fixed guarantees; the captain may change the route or time in the water if sea conditions require it.
- Start
Private pickup & transfer
Meet your guide at your confirmed cruise port or accommodation pickup point, then travel in an air-conditioned private vehicle to the boat departure area.
Meet your captain & snorkeling crew
Board the boat reserved for your group. Receive your equipment, flotation vest and activity instructions. Tell the crew about your swimming ability, experience level and any concerns before entering the water.
The Aquarium snorkeling stop
Explore the first planned reef location, known for coral formations and tropical fish. The captain and guide will determine safe entry, route and time in the water.
Blue Channel snorkeling stop
Continue to a second planned snorkeling area with a different reef setting. Conditions and marine life change from day to day, so sightings of turtles or other wildlife are never guaranteed.
Onboard refreshments
Enjoy water, sodas and snacks while taking in Roatán's coastline between stops or before the journey back.
- Return
Back to shore & drop-off
Return to the boat departure area and continue by private vehicle to your arranged port or accommodation drop-off point.

Share your ship's name, assigned terminal and port schedule when booking. We send the applicable meeting instructions and coordinate pickup using Roatán local time. Please confirm your ship's all-aboard deadline as well as its departure time.
Our operating goal is to bring guests back to the port at least 90 minutes before the scheduled departure. An independent tour does not obligate the cruise line to wait if a guest is late.

Snorkeling safety & what to bringAge 4+ · Crew instructions · Reef-friendly practices
- Minimum participation age: four years. Please share children's ages and any mobility or accessibility requirements before booking.
- Beginners are welcome. If you cannot swim or feel uncomfortable in open water, contact us before booking. Participation in the water is subject to the crew's safety assessment and prevailing conditions; a flotation vest does not eliminate risk.
- Bring swimwear, a towel, a dry change of clothes, sun protection and a waterproof bag for personal belongings.
- Follow crew instructions when boarding, entering and leaving the water. Sea conditions may affect visibility, reef stops and the time available for snorkeling.
- Protect the reef: never touch or stand on coral, take natural objects, or touch, chase or feed marine animals.

Two-stop vs. three-stop snorkelingChoose the right experience for your group
This Snorkeling Adventure is the two-stop experience, planned around The Aquarium and Blue Channel with a private boat and round-trip transportation. It's a practical choice when you want a focused snorkeling outing.
For visitors seeking an additional reef location, our separate Private Roatan 3-Stop Snorkeling Tour includes West End Wall as a third planned site and has a longer advertised duration. Check the inclusions and schedule of that product before choosing.
