Discover a different side of Roatán beneath the Caribbean's turquoise waters. Your private boat outing includes two planned snorkeling stops at The Aquarium and Blue Channel, subject to sea conditions. Coral formations and colorful tropical fish bring the underwater scenery to life.

Explore with an experienced captain and guides, with snorkeling equipment provided for your time in the water. Watch fish moving around the reef and look out for other marine life along the way. You may even spot a sea turtle, although wildlife sightings vary and cannot be guaranteed.

Private, air-conditioned round-trip transportation makes getting to and from your excursion convenient. Water, sodas and snacks are included on board. Whether you have snorkeled before or are planning your first experience, tell us your comfort level in the water so we can help you prepare for your visit.

Itinerary & timing

Approximately 4 hours, including round-trip transfers. The planned boat itinerary includes two snorkeling stops. Pickup arrangements and the day's route are coordinated for your visit. Snorkeling locations and time in the water may vary with sea conditions and the captain's guidance.

    Meet your guide at your arranged pickup point and travel to the boat departure area in a private, air-conditioned vehicle.

  2. Meet your snorkeling crew

    Meet your captain and guides, get ready with your snorkeling equipment and discuss your experience level before entering the water. Follow the crew's instructions throughout the excursion.

  3. Explore Roatán's reef

    Visit The Aquarium and Blue Channel on a private boat outing with two planned snorkeling stops, subject to sea conditions. Discover coral formations and tropical fish with guidance from the snorkeling team, observing marine life without touching or disturbing it.

  4. Refreshments on board

    Enjoy the sea views and take a break with the water, sodas and snacks included in your excursion.

  5. Return

    Back to shore & return transfer

    After snorkeling, return to shore and continue in your private vehicle to your arranged drop-off point.

Know before you go
  • Bring swimwear, a towel and a change of clothes for your return journey.
  • A sun hat and a swim shirt are useful for time on the boat and in the water.
  • Use a waterproof pouch or dry bag for belongings you take on board.
  • Guests must be at least 4 years old. You do not need to know how to swim, and flotation vests are included. Tell your guides if you cannot swim or are new to snorkeling.
  • Never touch or stand on coral, remove anything from the reef, or touch, chase or feed marine wildlife.
  • Follow your captain's and guides' instructions. Sea conditions can affect the snorkeling route, visibility and time in the water.
Frequently asked questions

Is this a private experience?

Yes. Your boat, captain and private round-trip transportation are reserved for your group. The reef sites are natural areas where other boats and snorkelers may also be present.

Do I need snorkeling experience or swimming skills?

No. Previous snorkeling experience and swimming ability are not required. Flotation vests are included. Tell your guides if you cannot swim or are new to snorkeling, and follow their instructions throughout the activity.

Can children join the tour?

Yes. The minimum age to participate is 4 years. Please provide the ages of children in your group when booking.

Where will we snorkel?

The planned route includes two snorkeling stops: The Aquarium and Blue Channel. The captain may adjust the locations or route according to weather and sea conditions.

Will we see sea turtles?

Sea turtles may be seen, along with tropical fish and other marine life, but no wildlife sighting is guaranteed. The animals move freely in their natural habitat.

Do I need to bring snorkeling equipment?

No. Snorkeling equipment and flotation vests are included. Bring your swimwear and a towel.

Are food and drinks included?

Water, sodas and snacks are included on board. A full meal and any additional food or drinks are not included.

TERMS and CONDITIONS - LIABILITY WAIVER (Must Read)

I agree to this release of all claims, waiver of liability, and assumption of risk (“Waiver and Release”).

I waive any and all claims I may have now and in the future, and release from all liability and agree not to sue Roatán Exclusive, its agents, representatives, employees, or tour guides [hereafter referred to as “Staff”] for any personal injury, death, property damage, or loss sustained by me as a result of my participation in a private tour offered by Roatán Exclusive due to any cause whatsoever, including without limitation, negligence on the part of Roatán Exclusive, its Staff, tour partners, or other participants, or death or injury as a result of war, civil unrest, or epidemic.

I further agree that if I violate this agreement and attempt to bring suit against any parties named herein, I will be held responsible for attorney’s fees and any costs incurred by that person in defending such action.

I am aware that the tour, in addition to the usual dangers and risks inherent, has certain additional dangers and risks, some of which include physical exertion for which I may not be prepared and weather extremes subject to sudden and unexpected change.

I accept all the inherent risks of the proposed tour and the possibility of personal injury, death, or property damage or loss resulting therefrom.

I acknowledge that the enjoyment and excitement of the proposed form of tour is derived in part from the inherent risks incurred by travel and activity beyond the accepted safety of life at home or work, and these inherent risks contribute to such enjoyment and excitement, being a reason for my participation.

I agree that if I suffer injury or illness, Roatán Exclusive or its Staff can, at my cost, arrange any medical treatment and emergency evacuation service as it or they deem necessary for my health and safety.

Further, I agree at all times during the tour, to abide by and comply with any additional instructions given by my tour guide or any other Staff and I accept that non-compliance may result in injury, death, or permanent disability.

I understand that non-compliance may result in my removal from the tour.

In entering this Waiver and Release, I am not relying on any oral, written, or visual representations or statements by Roatán Exclusive or its Staff or any other inducement or coercion to go on the tour.

I confirm that, by my own free will, I have read and understood the Terms and Conditions of this private tour and Waiver and Release and agree that this Waiver and Release will be binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, and successors.

As a participant on the tour, I accept full responsibility for my behavior, well-being, and health throughout the tour, which may involve a variety of activities, unfamiliar locations, and modes of travel, including but not limited to swimming, snorkeling, diving, or walking for a longer period than I am used to.

I knowingly and willfully accept these risks and take complete and total responsibility for my behavior, well-being, and health during the tour.

I agree to hold neither Roatán Exclusive, nor its Staff nor the Roatán Exclusive Conservancy or facility liable in any way should any harm come to me.

By purchasing any tour(s), I affirm that I have fully understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions, Waiver and Release of Liability.
