See sloths and monkeys at Mayan Eden Eco Park, snorkel at Blue Channel from a private pontoon boat and unwind at Paradise Beach Club on West Bay Beach. This private Roatán shore excursion brings wildlife, the Caribbean reef and beach time together in approximately 5–6 hours.

Begin with a wildlife visit, observing the animals and learning from your guide before heading out on the water. Snorkeling equipment and life jackets are included, along with fruit, snacks and drinks aboard the pontoon. Then enjoy Paradise Beach Club with beach loungers, a swimming pool, showers and restrooms. Lunch and restaurant or bar purchases are separate.

Your air-conditioned vehicle, bilingual guide and snorkeling pontoon are reserved for your group. Pickup and return are arranged from your cruise port, hotel, resort or Airbnb, with timing coordinated around your visit. The snorkeling minimum age is 4. Other visitors may be present at the park, reef and beach club.

    Meet your private guide

    Join your guide at the meeting point provided with your booking. Set off in your group's air-conditioned vehicle and enjoy an introduction to Roatán along the way.

  2. Mayan Eden Eco Park wildlife visit

    Visit Mayan Eden to observe sloths, monkeys, macaws and other wildlife. Learn about the animals while following park staff guidance. You may photograph sloths, but holding or carrying them is not permitted. Other interactions depend on the animals and staff instructions.

  3. Private pontoon & Blue Channel snorkeling

    Board a pontoon reserved for your group and head to Blue Channel to explore coral formations and tropical marine life. Snorkeling gear and life jackets are provided. Enjoy fresh fruit, snacks, water, sodas and local beer on board. Marine life sightings and water conditions vary.

  4. Paradise Beach Club at West Bay Beach

    Spend time by the sea with your included day pass. Use the beach loungers, swimming pool, freshwater showers and restrooms, or relax on the sand. The restaurant and bar are available for purchases; lunch and beach club drinks are not included.

  5. Return

    Private transfer to your port or accommodation

    Return in your private vehicle at the arranged time. For cruise guests, we plan the excursion with the goal of reaching the port at least 90 minutes before the ship's scheduled departure.

Cruise passengers

Provide your cruise ship name, port and arrival and departure details when booking. Follow your reservation's meeting instructions for the exact pickup point and time. Tour timing is coordinated using Roatán local time.

We plan your return with the goal of reaching the cruise port at least 90 minutes before your ship's scheduled departure. Let us know promptly if the cruise line changes your port schedule.

Know before you goSnorkeling from age 4
  • The minimum age for snorkeling is 4 years. Share children's ages and your group's snorkeling experience when booking so participation can be planned.
  • Snorkeling equipment and life jackets are included. If you do not swim or are unsure about entering the water, contact us before booking to discuss your needs.
  • Bring swimwear, a towel, comfortable clothing, a hat and sun protection. A change of clothes and a waterproof phone case may be useful.
  • Keep phones, cameras, sunglasses and other loose items secure around wildlife. Sloths may be observed and photographed, but cannot be held or carried.
  • Follow your snorkeling guide's instructions. Avoid touching coral, standing on the reef or touching, chasing or feeding marine animals.
  • Tell us about any mobility or access needs before booking so we can discuss the vehicle, park paths and boat boarding arrangements.
  • Allow for separate spending on lunch, beach club drinks, optional beach activities and personal purchases.

During your West Bay stop, you may be able to add jet skiing, parasailing or a massage. These services are separate from your included beach club day pass.

  • Massage: an optional way to relax during your beach visit, subject to provider availability.

Which parts of this Roatán shore excursion are private?

Your ground transportation, bilingual guide and snorkeling pontoon are reserved for your group. The tour does not reserve the entire park, reef or beach club; other visitors may be present at those locations.

Which sanctuary do we visit, and can we hold sloths?

You visit Mayan Eden Eco Park. Sloths may be observed and photographed, but holding or carrying them is not permitted. Other animal interactions depend on the animals and park staff guidance.

Where does the snorkeling take place?

The snorkeling portion visits Blue Channel aboard a private pontoon. Snorkeling gear and life jackets are included. Your guide considers sea conditions when managing the activity, and marine life sightings vary.

What is the minimum age for snorkeling?

The minimum snorkeling age is 4 years. Let us know children's ages and any swimming concerns before booking so we can discuss participation with your group.

Does Paradise Beach Club include pool access?

Yes. Your day pass includes the swimming pool, beach loungers, freshwater showers and restrooms at Paradise Beach Club on West Bay Beach. Restaurant and bar purchases, jet skiing, parasailing and massages are extra.

Are lunch, snacks and drinks included?

Fruit, snacks, water, sodas and local beer are included aboard the pontoon. Lunch and purchases at the beach club's restaurant and bar are not included.

How long is the tour, and will it fit our cruise stop?

The complete excursion takes approximately 5–6 hours, including transfers. Share your ship's schedule before booking so we can confirm the timing. Our plan is to have you back at the port at least 90 minutes before scheduled departure.

Can hotel and Airbnb guests book this excursion?

Yes. Private pickup and return can be arranged from your hotel, resort or Airbnb. Provide your accommodation's name and location when booking.

Cancellation policyFull refund with at least 24 hours' notice

Cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled service for a full refund. Deadlines use Roatán local time. A full refund also applies if your cruise ship cannot dock. Cancellations within 24 hours are generally non-refundable; documented medical emergencies may qualify for an exception.

I agree to this release of all claims, waiver of liability, and assumption of risk (“Waiver and Release”).

I waive any and all claims I may have now and in the future, and release from all liability and agree not to sue Roatán Exclusive, its agents, representatives, employees, or tour guides [hereafter referred to as “Staff”] for any personal injury, death, property damage, or loss sustained by me as a result of my participation in a private tour offered by Roatán Exclusive due to any cause whatsoever, including without limitation, negligence on the part of Roatán Exclusive, its Staff, tour partners, or other participants, or death or injury as a result of war, civil unrest, or epidemic.

I further agree that if I violate this agreement and attempt to bring suit against any parties named herein, I will be held responsible for attorney’s fees and any costs incurred by that person in defending such action.

I am aware that the tour, in addition to the usual dangers and risks inherent, has certain additional dangers and risks, some of which include physical exertion for which I may not be prepared and weather extremes subject to sudden and unexpected change.

I accept all the inherent risks of the proposed tour and the possibility of personal injury, death, or property damage or loss resulting therefrom.

I acknowledge that the enjoyment and excitement of the proposed form of tour is derived in part from the inherent risks incurred by travel and activity beyond the accepted safety of life at home or work, and these inherent risks contribute to such enjoyment and excitement, being a reason for my participation.

I agree that if I suffer injury or illness, Roatán Exclusive or its Staff can, at my cost, arrange any medical treatment and emergency evacuation service as it or they deem necessary for my health and safety.

Further, I agree at all times during the tour, to abide by and comply with any additional instructions given by my tour guide or any other Staff and I accept that non-compliance may result in injury, death, or permanent disability.

I understand that non-compliance may result in my removal from the tour.

In entering this Waiver and Release, I am not relying on any oral, written, or visual representations or statements by Roatán Exclusive or its Staff or any other inducement or coercion to go on the tour.

I confirm that, by my own free will, I have read and understood the Terms and Conditions of this private tour and Waiver and Release and agree that this Waiver and Release will be binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, and successors.

As a participant on the tour, I accept full responsibility for my behavior, well-being, and health throughout the tour, which may involve a variety of activities, unfamiliar locations, and modes of travel, including but not limited to swimming, snorkeling, diving, or walking for a longer period than I am used to.

I knowingly and willfully accept these risks and take complete and total responsibility for my behavior, well-being, and health during the tour.

I agree to hold neither Roatán Exclusive, nor its Staff nor the Roatán Exclusive Conservancy or facility liable in any way should any harm come to me.

By purchasing any tour(s), I affirm that I have fully understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions, Waiver and Release of Liability.
