With your own vehicle and local bilingual driver-guide, you can plan a day of wildlife, beaches, reef adventures, island culture or a favorite local stop, with pickup from your cruise port or anywhere you are staying on Roatán.

Start with the private tour, then choose the activities you would like to add. We help connect your choices into a practical route, allowing time for travel, each experience and your return. Your group travels together, without being combined with other bookings.

Prefer a brewery visit or time on the golf course? Request transportation to Roatan Brewing Company or Pristine Bay Golf Course. Both options cover transportation only. Brewery purchases and golf services cost extra, and golf requires your own reservation directly with the course.

How to customize your dayYour itinerary & timing

The base tour lasts approximately 4 hours. Your route and time at each stop are planned around your choices, pickup location and return time. Confirm the total duration before booking activities that require more time.

  1. Tell us what your day looks like

    Share your date, group size, pickup location and available time. Cruise guests should include their ship and port details.

  2. Choose your interests

    Explore the options below and select available paid activities in the booking form's EXTRAS tab. Selected extras are added to your booking total. A brewery or golf transport selection does not include purchases or services at those venues.

  3. Plan a route that fits

    We help arrange your stops in a workable order, accounting for travel and activity times. For golf, coordinate your tee time and pickup and return arrangements with us, and make the required golf reservation directly with the course.

  4. Meet your guide & explore

    Start at your arranged meeting point and enjoy the itinerary reserved for your group. Your driver-guide shares local knowledge and helps manage the day's timing.

  5. Return at the agreed time

    Finish at your arranged return point. Cruise itineraries are planned to reach the port at least 90 minutes before the ship's scheduled departure, using Roatán local time.

Wildlife & nature

  • Wildlife sanctuary

    Observe sloths, monkeys, macaws and other animals with sanctuary staff. Sloths may be photographed but cannot be held or carried; other interactions follow staff guidance.

  • Iguana park

    Include a visit to an iguana attraction for a closer look at these distinctive island reptiles.

  • Mangrove exploration

    Explore mangrove waterways with a local boat provider and learn about this part of Roatán's coastal landscape.

  • Turtle conservation visit

    Ask about a visit to a participating turtle facility. The visit and any permitted interactions follow the facility's current rules.

Ocean & beach

  • Snorkeling adventure

    Add time exploring the reef, with snorkeling equipment and life jackets provided for the selected snorkeling activity. Sites depend on the experience booked and sea conditions.

  • Beach break

    Make room for swimming or relaxing by the water. Choose your beach option and confirm any day pass, facilities and admission charges when booking.

  • Jet ski or parasailing

    Choose a water-sports activity through a local operator, subject to weather, availability and that operator's participation requirements.

  • Private fishing trip

    Plan a fishing experience with a local marine provider. Confirm its duration, equipment and route when choosing your option.

Outdoor adventure

  • ATV adventure

    Explore island trails on an ATV excursion. Driver age, passenger arrangements, licensing and other requirements are set by the selected operator.

  • Zip-line adventure

    See the tropical landscape from a different perspective on a zip-line experience. Confirm the operator's age, weight and equipment requirements before booking.

  • Horseback riding

    Enjoy a guided ride on an available scenic route, with arrangements suited to the selected provider's participation requirements.

Island culture & local stops

  • Sightseeing & cultural stops

    Build a route around island viewpoints, local communities, the ROATAN sign, chocolate and rum producers or artisan shops.

  • Local shopping

    Leave time to browse markets and shops for crafts, gifts and island products. Personal purchases are separate.

  • Local lunch stop

    Ask your guide to help plan a restaurant stop around your preferences. Meals and restaurant drinks are paid separately.

    Roatan Brewing Company

    Add a brewery stop to your custom route. The tour covers transportation to the venue as part of your confirmed itinerary. Beer, tastings, food and other purchases are paid separately.

    Pristine Bay Golf Course

    Arrange transportation for your golf plans. You must reserve and pay for golf directly with the course. The tour price does not include green fees, carts, equipment rental or other golf services.

    Coordinate your tee time, pickup, return and total trip duration with us before finalizing your bookings. A full round of golf and extended waiting time are not automatically covered by the approximately 4-hour base tour.

Cruise ship guests

Pickup is available for the Port of Roatan in Coxen Hole and Isla Tropicale, formerly Mahogany Bay. Share your ship and arrival details so we can arrange your meeting point and plan your return.

Meeting instructions are sent with your reservation and again the day before the tour. We use Roatán local time and plan to return to port at least 90 minutes before scheduled departure.

Guests staying on Roatán

We arrange pickup from hotels, resorts, villas, Airbnbs and other accommodations across the island, without a zone surcharge. Provide the property's name and location when booking.

Airport & ferry arrivals

Pickup can also be arranged at Juan Manuel Gálvez International Airport or the ferry terminal. Share your arrival details so we can coordinate the start of your tour.

Know before you go
  • The base sightseeing tour welcomes all ages. Each optional activity has its own provider requirements; share children's ages and relevant access needs before booking.
  • Tell us your group size so we can arrange suitable vehicle capacity and availability. Larger parties may require more than one vehicle.
  • Choose your priorities instead of trying to fit every option into one day. Transfers, venue schedules and activity durations all affect your route.
  • Wear comfortable clothing and bring sun protection. Pack swimwear and a towel if you select beach or water activities.
  • Follow wildlife staff instructions, keep belongings secure and observe sloths without holding them. During snorkeling, do not touch coral or touch, chase or feed marine life.
  • For Pristine Bay golf transportation, reserve directly with the course and coordinate the schedule with us. Selecting transportation does not reserve a tee time.
Frequently asked questions

What makes this a private custom Roatán tour?

Your vehicle and driver-guide are reserved for your group, and your itinerary reflects the activities you choose. If your booked experience includes boat transportation, that boat is private to your party. Attractions, restaurants and beaches may have other visitors.

Are all the activities included in the base price?

No. The US$38 per-person base, with a minimum of two guests, covers the private tour services listed above. Optional paid activities are selected in EXTRAS and added to your total. Golf services, brewery purchases, meals and personal spending remain separate.

Can we choose our own itinerary?

Yes. Tell us which places and experiences matter most to you. We help build a route around those choices, available activity times, your pickup location and your required return time.

Can we visit Roatan Brewing Company?

Yes. Request a stop when planning your itinerary. This is a transportation-only option; beer, food, tastings and other venue purchases are not included in the tour price.

Does Pristine Bay golf transportation include a round of golf?

No. It includes transportation only. You must reserve and pay directly with the golf course. Green fees, carts, equipment rental and other golf services are excluded. Share your tee time and plans so we can confirm the total duration and return arrangements; a full round and extended waiting are not automatically included in the base tour.

Can we book this as a Roatán shore excursion?

Yes. We arrange pickup for both cruise ports and plan your itinerary around your ship's schedule, with a planned port return at least 90 minutes before departure. Your meeting instructions specify the pickup location and Roatán local time.

Is this suitable for families and larger groups?

The base tour welcomes all ages, and transportation is arranged for your group size. Optional activities have separate participation requirements, so let us know everyone's ages and any access needs when planning your day.

Cancellation policyFull refund with at least 24 hours' notice

Cancel at least 24 hours before your scheduled service for a full refund. A full refund also applies if your cruise ship cannot dock. Cancellations within 24 hours are generally non-refundable; see the full policy for conditions and exceptions.

Reservations made directly with the golf course or another venue are subject to that venue's own cancellation terms.

TERMS and CONDITIONS - LIABILITY WAIVER (Must Read)

I agree to this release of all claims, waiver of liability, and assumption of risk (“Waiver and Release”).

I waive any and all claims I may have now and in the future, and release from all liability and agree not to sue Roatán Exclusive, its agents, representatives, employees, or tour guides [hereafter referred to as “Staff”] for any personal injury, death, property damage, or loss sustained by me as a result of my participation in a private tour offered by Roatán Exclusive due to any cause whatsoever, including without limitation, negligence on the part of Roatán Exclusive, its Staff, tour partners, or other participants, or death or injury as a result of war, civil unrest, or epidemic.

I further agree that if I violate this agreement and attempt to bring suit against any parties named herein, I will be held responsible for attorney’s fees and any costs incurred by that person in defending such action.

I am aware that the tour, in addition to the usual dangers and risks inherent, has certain additional dangers and risks, some of which include physical exertion for which I may not be prepared and weather extremes subject to sudden and unexpected change.

I accept all the inherent risks of the proposed tour and the possibility of personal injury, death, or property damage or loss resulting therefrom.

I acknowledge that the enjoyment and excitement of the proposed form of tour is derived in part from the inherent risks incurred by travel and activity beyond the accepted safety of life at home or work, and these inherent risks contribute to such enjoyment and excitement, being a reason for my participation.

I agree that if I suffer injury or illness, Roatán Exclusive or its Staff can, at my cost, arrange any medical treatment and emergency evacuation service as it or they deem necessary for my health and safety.

Further, I agree at all times during the tour, to abide by and comply with any additional instructions given by my tour guide or any other Staff and I accept that non-compliance may result in injury, death, or permanent disability.

I understand that non-compliance may result in my removal from the tour.

In entering this Waiver and Release, I am not relying on any oral, written, or visual representations or statements by Roatán Exclusive or its Staff or any other inducement or coercion to go on the tour.

I confirm that, by my own free will, I have read and understood the Terms and Conditions of this private tour and Waiver and Release and agree that this Waiver and Release will be binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, and successors.

As a participant on the tour, I accept full responsibility for my behavior, well-being, and health throughout the tour, which may involve a variety of activities, unfamiliar locations, and modes of travel, including but not limited to swimming, snorkeling, diving, or walking for a longer period than I am used to.

I knowingly and willfully accept these risks and take complete and total responsibility for my behavior, well-being, and health during the tour.

I agree to hold neither Roatán Exclusive, nor its Staff nor the Roatán Exclusive Conservancy or facility liable in any way should any harm come to me.

By purchasing any tour(s), I affirm that I have fully understood and agree to these Terms and Conditions, Waiver and Release of Liability.
